Instructions for authors

Submissions of papers and abstracts for posters and demos must follow the guidelines for the LNCS format provided by Springer. We recommend the use of LaTeX2e for best results and easiest handling of your documents, but Springer also provides a template for Microsoft Windows. It is the responsibility of authors to ensure that their submission is printable on a standard Postscript printer.

Paper Submission

Papers must be submitted no later than 20 March 2008 through the ECDL2008 Conference Management System.

For the initial full text submission for review, authors are requested to submit the paper as a single pdf-file. All papers will be reviewed by at least three members of the Program Committee. For final submission of accepted papers, the papers, including all source files, MUST be zipped and submitted electronically via the ECDL2008 Conference Management System.

Poster Submission

Posters must be submitted no later than 20 March 2008 through the ECDL2008 Conference Management System.

Submissions of posters must be in English and consist of an extended abstract (two pages maximum in Springer LNCS format including references and figures, following the submission guidelines for full papers). Submissions must contain the extended abstract both in PDF as well as in source format (LaTeX, Microsoft Word or RTF) as a single zipped archive file (gnu-zipped tar files, winzip, rar archives).

Demo Submission

Demos must be submitted no later than 20 March 2008 through the ECDL2008 Conference Management System.

Submission of demos must contain the extended abstract both in PDF as well as in source format (LaTeX, Microsoft Word or RTF) as a single zipped archive file (gnu-zipped tar files, winzip, rar archives). Additionally a separate document specifying any equipment required for the demonstration should be included.
